Hello!

 Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my website.  I really hope you like what you see!

I fell in love with photography only a few years ago, when I decided to tick off an item on my lifetime bucket list. So, much to my husband’s disgust, I snaffled his camera and began snapping away, taking photographs of just about everything and anything that moved.  I am self- taught, having read just about every book there is to read about photography (I’ve always been like this since I was little!)  I’ve also taken a couple of courses to hone my skills. 

My true passion lies with taking natural photographs in natural light.  Most people become so self-conscious in front of camera, myself included.  Whilst posed and planned pictures can be an important part of capturing an event, I much prefer blending into the background and capturing genuine moments of joy and emotion.   I really love producing honest pictures which tell a story and freeze a special occasion forever.

When I’m not snapping away, I am a mum to a teenage son who swims… a lot!  I spend most of my life in hot sweaty swimming pools watching my lovely boy compete.  It’s not good for the nerves and thankfully I have a wonderfully supportive husband who looks after both of us.  It is because of their love and encouragement that I started taking photographs in the first place.  These two boys are the centre of my universe!

So, I think that gives you a little insight into who I am.  Here are some other daft facts that you might like to know!

·       I adore Coffee and Walnut cake… I can resist just about any other type of cake, but not this one!

·       I am most at peace by the sea.  I was born in Hastings and grew up on the South Coast.  Whilst I love Worcester and the surrounding countryside (which is truly stunning), you just can’t beat the smell of the sea air and the sound of the sea to melt away your troubles!

·       I am utterly rubbish at just about every sport, with the exception of Martial Arts!

·       I would love to travel the world more.  There are just so many beautiful places to see!

·       I am a big softy at heart.  I would do anything for the people I love.
